Former CSC Kids Visit

In the last couple weeks, we have had three different visits of children who used to live at CSC.  Two of the families who visited have kids who are still young and left CSC just within the last few years.  It is very cool to watch these people return and talk about what a blessing CSC was (and still is) in their life, and to see the kids look around at CSC, the place that really saved their life and gave them hope.  These kids are now in loving families and are living life with potential that they probably wouldn't have ever had if they'd never come to CSC in the first place.

Hanging out with former CSC kids - we became quick friends! :)

Just a couple days ago, we had another former CSC child arrive in Cebu.  This one, however, is in her late twenties and was one of CSC's first kids back in the very beginning days of the ministry!!  She hasn't been back to Cebu since she left 26 years ago, so this is a long-awaited trip for her!  The really cool thing about her though is that she's a CSC icon.  Actually, many of you have seen her before and never realized it...  Have you ever seen the CSC logo?  You know, the one with the really tall person (Paul Healy), holding hands with a string of kids?  Here it is, in case you forgot:

The logo came from an actual picture taken many years ago in the ministry's early days.  This gal visiting now is the last child in that string of children.  She's on the famous logo, and she's finally back in Cebu!  What a blessing for her and for the staff here!

It's really neat for me to be one of the newer/younger staff, watching the veteran staff members interact with one of CSC's first children.  What a blessing and an encouragement it must be to see what an amazing young woman she has become, after they poured their heart into her life many years ago.  It's fun to watch her listen to and soak up stories from the staff too of what she was like as a little girl.  She's a wonderful young woman who has done well in life and has obviously been used in the lives of many people.  Wow.  Another remarkable God story - and another CSC success story!
